Psalms Theatrics is a theatrical company that produces bible based, musical theater "Broadway" style productions.
The company was founded under the artistic director and writer, Paul Herbert Pitts in 2017.
It started when he did an all youth summer production of Godspell as the first show for Psalm Theatrics. After that it was decided that they became an official non for-profit group in 2018. Since then, all of their productions have brought in large and diverse crowds and were well received.
All shows, involve all ethnicities, denominations, and have a variety of ages in our productions.
Most productions are based on stories from the bible, but there are a few that celebrate Black History and world unity, themes of love, joy and peace, which all center around what God's word speaks of.
The group's mission statement is:
"Coming together as a community to share with the people of God through fine arts."
The group's bible chapter and name comes from Psalms 150 "Let Everything that has breath praise the Lord".
